What is Dussc
Durham University Ski and Snowboard Club (DUSSC), is one of Durham University’s largest clubs with over 300 current members and 1000 alumni.
The society is inclusive and welcoming, enabling all students, regardless of experience, get involved with snow sports at university, whilst also committing to development of the club’s talented competitors.
DUSSC has a huge presence throughout Durham University. With socials organised throughout the year and members from all colleges, degrees and year groups, you will always find someone wearing some of the popular DUSSC stash around town.
Weekly freestyle and race training sessions are run for all levels from experts to those that just want to try something new (many of the team had never competed before arriving at uni). We compete in all student events; King's, BUDS, BUISC and finish the season off with an amazing week at BUSC Main Event in the Alps.
DUSSC is not just about speed and tricks. We’re famous for running some of the biggest and best socials in Durham, as well as events showcasing some of Durham and Newcastle’s best DJ’s on in our DUSSC on the Terrace event at The Library (the bar, not the Billy B). Biweekly trips to the indoor snowdome at Castleford and Infinite Air are run for those that need their snow fix and of course in January DUSSC joins forces with Palatinalps to provide one of the biggest and best weeks on snow you will ever have!
